Kim Zieglgansberger

Kim is a hospital pharmacist in Vancouver and is sponsored by the Deer Lake Club of Burnaby. She was raised on a farm in northern Saskatchewan and loves driving big trucks. Kim is very active in sports, especially volleyball and softball, and wants to try surfing in Australia. Music is also high on her list of interests as she plays the piano and trumpet. Her latest challenge is learning to fiddle, which unfortunately still sounds like a dying cat. Her goal this fall is to volunteer for three months in Central or South America and become fluent in Spanish.
During her stay Kim would welcome public & private healthcare exposure - does not have to be all pharmacy-focused; interested in the integration of the two systems and how it actually works (or doesn't); how the whole system is set up. Creative healthcare delivery - innovative stuff they're doing in public health or hospice or mental health or health education or home care... anything really that is "outside the box" or working well. Alternative medicine - incorporation of acupuncture, chiropractic, energy healers, traditional medicine, etc... Alternative energy - renewable energy programs, environmental innovations, public education. Agriculture - traditional farming, organic practices, things that are different from Canada
