       Captain Hampton Cantrell

     Team Leader – GSE – District-5280 – United States

Captain Hampton N. Cantrell joined the Inglewood Police

Department in 1984. He is currently the Commanding Officer

of the Inglewood Police Department’s Detective Bureau. His

professional interests include Community Policing issues and

Homeland Security.

Captain Cantrell is a member of the Board of Managers of the

Inglewood YMCA and currently serves as its Board Chair. He

is a member of the Inglewood Rotary Club and served as

President in 2000-2001. His memberships include the John

Langston Bar Association, the National Organization of Black

Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), and the Southern

California Emergency Press Information Officers Association.

Captain Cantrell is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area.

He has completed his Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice

at Long Beach City College and his Bachelor of Arts degree in

Political Science at University of California, Irvine. He has

studied in the Executive M.P.A. program at the University of

Southern California. He received his J.D. degree at

Southwestern University School of Law and has been admitted

as a Member of the California Bar.

Captain Cantrell enjoys running, reading, home improvement

projects and spending time with his family.
