A quiet day in Bundaberg with our hosts
Today is the most relaxing day that the team has had throughout the entire tour.
Tomorrow we are off to Sydney for 5 days then it is home for Dan, Kim and
Danielle. Sydney is going to be jammed pack with plenty of things to do.
Back to today - well as usual Bob managed to fanangle a game of golf with his
mate and
GSE 9570 leader Steve Bennett. From all accounts both had a great day -
however the score does not matter - the fellowship mattered most. Kim, Danielle
& Dan teamed up with hosts Allan and Joan and were taken around to the sites and
spent a few hours at Bagara Beach. Crystal stayed at her hosts residence and
studied up on getting re-certified for diving so that she can go back and
explore the Great Barrier Reef. Lucky bugger (aussie slang - no offence here) it
is truly one of the 7 wonders of the world. Steve, Bob, Allan, Joan, Dan, Kim
and Danielle all met for lunch and enjoyed their time remembering various parts
of the tour over a few pot of golds.
After lunch it was off to our hosts and some relaxation at our hosts.
Tonight we visit Bundaberg East Rotary Club which is the last club that we will
visit. Even though we were not origonally asked to speak at the meeting we
decided to bring our presentation anyway. Good thing we did as it was one of the
first things that the chairman of the evening events did. This was the final
club and presentation that we would make, it was a funny feeling for a us all
and a sad one. All in all we had an enjoyable evening with lots of laughter and
only a couple of pot of golds.
Tomorrow is our last day in Bundy and we will be flying off to Sydney just
before noon. The team are individually going to sign off the diary. It is sad
that everything is coming to an end, but it will be great to get home and see
our loved ones........ till sign off.......team leader Bob.
