Foundation Dinner.
The annual Foundation Dinner was held at the Fireman's Hall in Burnaby. Unfortunately Danielle could not make it and was really missed by the team so there were only four of us at the dinner. It was a great night the theme for the evening was the 50's and by all accounts everyone had a great time and plus the foundation did very well. This was also the night that the team found out that they really liked to dance to the 50 - 60's music unfortunately some of us had to get up very early in the morning and another member had to travel back to Whistler and had to leave earlier than anticipated. We all had a chuckle with our team advisor Neil McDonald who was dressed up as Buddy Holly - and did a great job at that.
Our team was also introduced to the rotary members and were well received in their Centennial Team uniform.

We lose our first member
Although we prepared for the unexpected, the team was saddened by the withdrawal of Krisztina Pellet from our team. Krisztina withdrew for personal reasons. From the time we all met we instantly became friends. Our team will miss her.

We say hello to Crystal
With
our good friend Krisztina withdrawing from the team - our first alternate member
Crystal Campbell was brought into the team. Crystal had no worries
fitting in with team members as she was with us on on our first orientation day
in October 2004.

Pot Luck Dinner with Team 2004
A great evening was had by all when we met with the 2004 team. The pot luck dinner was excellent. The really great thing was as soon as the team members met each other it was an explosion of conversation that never let up until we all departed in a snow storm which included freezing rain and very slippery roads. It was great to meet the other team and hear about their personal stories when they were on their New Zealand exchange.

Planning our presentation at Dan's
Well we are now getting down to the finer points of our power point presentation. We are thankful that the district has a projector that we can take on our tour with us. We also took more team photographs with our team shirts which will represent the colour of Canada red & white.
